GS-X HEADPHONE AMP/PRE-AMP
Like the GS-1, the GS-X has one of the lowest noise floors of any amplifier. This is improved by the separate power supply chassis which keeps transformer fields away from the amplifier circuitry. The power supply is doubled, so there is one for each channel, making the GS-X a dual mono amplifier. The amp and power supply are each housed in a lightly-brushed aluminum enclosure, measuring 14.5" W x 9" D x 2.5" H. Each enclosure and its thick, rounded sides is completed with a hand-finished 1/4" aluminum front panel. A pair of RCA and XLR inputs, RCA and XLR active preamp outputs, and RCA and XLR loop (tape) outputs allow for multiple connections with your audio system. The AC power jack accepts any standard power cord. The amp can be ordered for either 100-120VAC or 220-240VAC usage. We will automatically configure the amp for your shipping location unless you specify otherwise.
On the GS-1, a DACT stepped attenuator volume control is optional. On the GS-X it is standard. This is a 4-ganged attenuator to accommodate either the balanced or single-ended inputs of the GS-X. The DACT stepped attenuator provides 24 separate volume positions with unparalleled matching of levels between the left and right channels. A lot of thought has also gone into the module-based nature of this amplifier. Each amplifier board is socketed on gold-plated pins and further secured with a pair of screws. We will be releasing new amplifier modules in the future as we continue to evolve the design, so your amplifier will never become obsolete. These module boards can be replaced/installed without difficulty or electronics knowledge. SPECIFICATIONS
