The SRM-D10 drives the SR-L300 through L700 series quite well and does surprisingly well with the SR-009 series for being a small portable amp. The SR-007 and MrSpeakers Voce definitely push the limits of this amp's voltage output.

The SRM-D10 delivers a surprising punch for its diminutive size, driving the modern STAX headphone lineup to reasonably high listening levels in typical conditions. With a 3.5-4.5 hour battery life, and the open nature of STAX headphones, it makes for more of a transportable rig, but for those who want to enjoy their electrostatic headphones when they travel, there is nothing else like it!

STAX Japan introduce the SRM-D10, the world’s first compact DAC / electrostatic amp unit. High-performance DAC for PC / Mac and variety of digital audio sources, from the desktop part of the amplifier can be adapted STAX mainstream electrostatic earspeakers. Now you can take the SRM-D10 to your home, office, or out door and enjoy the superb sound from STAX anytime, and anywhere you go.

About STAX

STAX produce exclusively electrostatic headphones, or “earspeakers” as they call them, in Japan, since 1938. STAX chose the electrostatic technology for its ability to produce transparent sound, and low weight for comfort/ergonomics, both due to the driver design not employing fixed magnets and moving coils, as opposed to other common headphone driver designs. The minimal weight of the driver ensures a very quick response to the signal, creating a more faithful sound reproduction.
