The ultimate Ribbon headphones

"Fixes all the unconventionality of the SR-1a without compromising on the clarity of sound making up for the glaring deficiency of bass. Paired with the T1-1b it’s compatible with most any amp/DAC. It also plays very nice with the Jotunheim R. A worthy upgrade"

RAAL CA-1A

"The CA-1A met all expectations and surpassed them in terms of comfort and lush, effortless, fast and well defined bass. Headamp is rock solid and wouldn’t think of going to anyone else."

Bridging the gap between planars and electrostats

"After reading so many great reviews about the SR1a but not wanting to commit to the unconventional design or lack of bass, I waited patiently for the CA-1a to be released. It was well worth the wait. I was struck by the agility of the sound right out of the box as well as the rich, clean bass. The ability to roll cups to my taste and the ability to tune the sound vs. EQ or convolution profiles furthers the flexibility of these headphones as well. I'm running them with the TI-1b interface/transformer box and the GS-X Mini on high gain at about 11am-1pm depending on the recording. The sound is absolutely fantastic coming out of these. I really believe they're bridging the gap between planars and electrostats, and sold off several pairs of high-end cans after getting these. It's pretty incredible what these are doing, especially for the cost relative to other brands' flagship offerings. Any questions or requests have been promptly answered by the vendor, which is another plus for me. My only gripe is that because of the specialized cable, you can't go any longer than the stock cable if you're using the TI-1b interface."
