DAC/Amps, DAC Amplifiers, Amplifiers with DACs..all of these are valid names for the products in this category which has defined the high-end headphone system in this century. The rise in computer audio led to the demand for quality digital-to-analog converters (DACs) separate from an obsolete disc player. It was only natural that designers began to include DACs inside their headphone amplifiers, or in the case of brands known for digital design, include headphone amplifiers with their DACs.
