Astell&Kern SP2000, SP1000 - Now Roon Ready!

After much patient waiting and hard work Astell&Kern has announced an upcoming update for their A&ultima SP2000!

Their team is finally ready to announce firmware updates for their flagship SP1000 and SP2000 digital audio players that will officially make them Roon Ready! This update is scheduled for March 16th for these two players only. Moving forward as new models are released they will be equipped with this highly anticipated new feature.

Roon is popular software for managing your music library including offline files and online streaming. You must run Roon software on your 'server' (computer) or 'core' device such as a Roon Nucleus. Then you can control and listen to your Roon library from your Astell&Kern SP2000 as long it is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the server/core.
