Brilliant. I can't belive some Sennheiser H650 Cult member dummy pretended to do an a/b with the 650 'winning' hands down.

"Mate - you've may as well have been comparing them to Princess Diana. You absolute bellend."

Close to perfect

"The headphones are as close to perfect reproduction of sound while still being pleasurable to listen to. The ease to drive makes them perfect for any set up. They are probably the best built headphones I have had the pleasure of owning"

Diana MR - A Stellar Purchase

"recently purchased the Abyss Diana MR headphones from HeadAmp and I couldn't be happier with my decision. The customer service I received throughout the process was exceptional. The team was knowledgeable, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure a smooth buying experience. The headphones themselves are nothing short of amazing. The build quality is top-notch and the sound is simply breathtaking. The clarity, detail, and overall soundstage are incredible. I've been thoroughly enjoying listening to my music collection with a newfound appreciation for every nuance. I highly recommend both the Diana MR headphones and HeadAmp to any audiophile. I will definitely be returning to HeadAmp for future purchases. Thank you, HeadAmp, for an outstanding product and service!"

Great sounding headphone on it's own for variety of musik. Not so great compared to other options.

"Let me preface by saying I've been in the audiophile/head-fi world for a long time. I'm an avid, multi-cultural musik collector and appreciating the musik first, in it's best form is why i got into hi-fi. So again, unlike gearheads, my top priority is how does gear make this great song sound. Price is often irrelevant as one tuning of a $4k headphone can make a song sound terrible and another tuning of a cheaper heaphone can make it sound amazing. Also, i've recently been tested (since i've taken extreme care with my hearing) that my ears response is equivalent to that of a 27 year old, even though I'm sig. older. I listen to all genres of musik in all languages so having said that and without sharing my A/B spreadsheet of tournament style comparisons to others here's a general observation vs a Sennheiser HD650 on both a Topping Discrete, and Quad PA-ONE+ tube amp with upgraded tubes. The Senn is picked as a mid-fi headphone reference as it is one of the most capable and great sounding all-round headphone you can buy at any price. I listened to the Diana MR first by itself and then again through the same tracklist vs the HD650. By itself, it is an great sounding headphone both on the Topping A90 Discrete and the Quad. I ended up mostly listening on the quad as it paired better power req. wise and thickened it's already smooth sound. Classical, Electronic, Metal, Ethnic, Instrumental and pop/hip-hop musik all sounded transparent, smooth and well executed. In some songs the bass did thump cleanly, albeit a bit on the thin side. Vocals and instruments were never sibilant and it displayed great control in both upper and mid registers. If someone were to gift me the headphone and it was the only one I'd have, I would, save for a few musik styles, be absolutely content and not look back. However, when I A/B'd afterwards to the HD650, that is where it's flaws came through. In general to be honest it just lacks the bass authority for a lot of types of music. Anemic is the best word to describe it's bass vs the Senn. Out of 12 songs through different styles, the HD650 won by a score of 9-0-3, which was honestly quite surprising given the price difference. Also, one more note on fit. This was my first Abyss headphone and the top band shape is a little odd. On some heads, like my oval one, it sits a bit strange and i had to fiddle with it to make sure it's not flaring and i'm getting a good seal. I've pasted the 12 songs below. I rate each by freq. range (high/mid/low qual/low volume) and then overall "which one made the song actually more engaging. You can have sometimes, albeit rare, one headphone rank better technically than the other but not make the song sound better. I do not look down on the MR for losing out to the HD650 because as I stated I believe it's one of the best designed all-round cans of all time. Song list below: - Heilung - "Othan" (live) - Depeche Mode - "Wrong" - Macklemore - "Can't Hold Us" - Charlie Puth - "Attention" - Rodrigo y Gabriella - "Diablo Rojos" - Amr Diab - "Nur el Ein" - Audiomaschine - "House Of Cards" - Fleet Foxes - "The Wynter Hymnal" - Eivor - "I Tokuni" - Googoosh - "Sha-er" - Sunidhi Chauhan - "Aa Tayar Hoja" - Camille Berthollet - "Palladio: I. Allegretto""

Great Warranty for Great Sounding Headphones

"I was upgrading my headphones because my second set of HiFiMan Arya headphones left driver dying outside the 1-year warranty. Price for these comparatively are way more expensive, but I was happy to know that Abyss has a 10-year warranty. I decided this was better than constantly paying repairs for the Aryas and at the same time an upgrade to the sound let alone material quality. Sound compared to Arya since I have no other high-end headphones to compare: The MRs have significantly better vocal timbre. Now I finally understand what some were saying when they claimed Ayras midrange sounds plasticky. The Ayras do have a wider and taller soundstage, but the MRs are perfectly fine for me to have better timbre through to what seems like the entire FR for me. I feel like the MRs are warmer yet more natural sounding than the Aryas which have that higher frequency emphasis tuning. I would say the detail retrieval for both are on par with each other but the MRs are more realistic. The bass would also seem to be on par from what I remember as I cannot do A/B with the Aryas. I am happy with my purchase, hopefully will enjoy them for 10 years with no need to upgrade."

She needs a bigger amp

"On the budget end I'd say get a Topping A70 Pro to really see what these can do. I tried it on a Fiio K7 and thought it was nothing special. But moving up to a Burson Conductor 3XR and WOW these headphones came to life. Beautiful. And Diana's are the comfort queen! I love the vegan pads, you can wear these all day every day."

Solid all around headphone from Abyss w/ 10 year warranty if registered

"This headphone is a step in the right direction for Abyss. The tonality is relatively neutral but detailed and forward and boy does it have punch! As with most Abyss headphones it’s source sensitive, not as much as the 1266 of course but you’ll be able to tell a difference on different AMPs. Not to mention the 10 year warranty Abyss offers on these headphones. Now you do have to register it with them for that but it’s worth it."
