2go is a high-performance streamer/server that transforms the Hugo 2 DAC into a fully featured Wi-Fi- and Ethernet-enabled device with up to 4 TB of solid-state library playback, bringing the proven sound quality benefits of our award-winning Hugo 2 DAC technology to network audio.

2go benefits from 2x 2 TB-rated microSD card slots for digital storage and playback, enabling Hugo 2 as a high-capacity digital music server (using MPD), in addition to its music streaming abilities. Crucially, when using 2go with Hugo 2, (once charged) all forms of digital playback can benefit from battery power alone, negating the need for external power supplies for the ultimate in purist audio.

2go contains highly advanced miniaturised electronic engineering that, in keeping with all our amplifiers and DACs, uses proprietary British technology. Adding 2go to Hugo 2, creates the most sonically advanced compact music streamer available today.

Wireless convenience (2.4GHz Wi-Fi and A2DP Bluetooth) combine with the stability and performance of wired (Gigabit) Ethernet connectivity, the latter offering set-up-free plug and play operation. 2go also benefits from comprehensive audio interfacing and offers Tidal, Qobuz and Internet radio playback with Spotify (and others) earmarked for the future. 2go is also Roon Ready, offers gapless audio and DoP/Bit Perfect support, as well as being fully DLNA-compliant (server/renderer) and AirPlay-ready.

A key feature of 2go is its auto-switching input function: every audio interface is always on, therefore switching between inputs is as easy as hitting ‘play’ on the chosen control point app; 2go convenience-switches between all its inputs automatically, giving a seamless user experience when playing music from different sources or even streaming services.

A Most Versatile Addition

"With the Chord 2Go on my Hugo2 I have added the ability to take my music on the go as a portable DAP, at the same fidelity of my home audio system. When at home, I am using the 2Go/Hugo combo as a streamer with the iOS app Mconnect to access my entire home library from a Mac Mini with JRiver in server mode. You can also use the combo as a complete whole home music server, without a computer from files stored on microSD cards. Any noise from from dirty lines AC power is gone (runs on batteries). The Backgrounds are so much quieter, and in my case a subtle but noticeable (read annoying) sibilance on the highs is no longer there. Music is fun (again)."

Good streamer

"For one stop streaming with Hugo 2 there is no better alternative. I use this around the house to stream Roon to the Hugo 2 without issue. Also have an SD card loaded with music, no issues with playback as long as the right app is used."

Perfect missing link for the Hugo2

"I was using a MicroRendu with my Hugo2 before the 2go was released. It's a pricey item and in my case I will never use all of it's capability. It is strictly desktop only, and only functions as a Roon endpoint. BUT, it's so perfectly matched to the Hugo2. When mated together, you can see how the Chord Hugo2 picture is complete. I really can't speak to any audio differences between it and my MicroRendu, as I never performed an A/B comparison. I knew that I wanted this package to create a sleek, minimalist desktop solution for my Ethernet-based Roon listening with my Hugo2. My Hugo2go solution is driven by my GS-X mini amp, all purchased from HeadAmp, of course!"

Another Chord homerun

"I had been using a Sonore microRendu with an Uptone LCS-1.2 power supply as my Roon endpoint attached to my Hugo2 DAC as a desktop headphone setup. I had a need to another endpoint in my basement, so i moved my Sonore unit to the basement and purchased the 2go to mate to my Hugo2 on my desktop. First off, I am in no way an audiophile. I have been listening to music for years and I know what sounds good and what doesn't. But I can't say the 2go ethernet endpoint sounds appreciably better than the Sonore/Uptone kit it replaced. But the convenience of having a single Chord unit to work with is fantastic. It's a very clean setup with only the power and ethernet cables present. And I can move around anywhere in my house and get fantastic Roon music anywhere via battery power and wi-fi. I grabbed the Hugo2go yesterday and took it into my main audio room, under battery power, and plugged it into my preamp for a different sound signature. it was just that simple. I can't see me ever using the two SD slots-they do not suit my needs, but it further underscores the portability/usability of the unit. You can truly take the awesome Hugo2 anywhere. The fit/finish is superior in every way as you would expect. It is really expensive, but it completes the Hugo2 so wonderfully I just had to have it. I was lucky to get an open box unit and saved a couple of hundred dollars. As usual, Headamp.com is my go-to dealer for all things digital and can related. Justin and the folks there are just the absolute best. Both the 2go and Headamp.com are highly recommended!"

Nice unit if you have a Hugo2

"So far I've only used this as a Roon endpoint, because, of course, I never leave the house these days. It does a great job in this mode. It's incredibly nice to have a single slab (albeit not that small and not that light) the constitutes my portable sound system, rather that two blobs tethered together. I really like the Hugo2, so this is a natural."
