Great for music on the go

"Pair great with quality IEMs to make audio amazing while on the go. Small enough for the office and when traveling with plenty of mids and base to boot. Great separation too as the Chord signature sound stays true. Small learning curve to understand the UI but worth it once you have it dialed in. Highly recommend the Mojo2 and Headamp is always amazing with quick shipping and great customer service. Thanks Justin and team!"

Almost perfect

"Love the Mojo 2 as both a desktop DAC and for portable use. I mainly use in desktop mode but like the flexibility to take with me if needed. Sound quality for me is neutral with no coloration across the board, that is unless you use the excellently integrated DAP and crossfeed functionality. I personally raise the sub-bass shelf a tad and use the 2nd level of crossfeed with my Focal Clears. Powerful enough on its own, but can be connected to an amp if needed. Only downfall is the use of usb-b, not fatal but annoying."

Into a new world

"After many years of using DACs with other technologies, I decided to try Chord FPGAs and they are truly another level of sensations when enjoying music. The ease with which I can tune my favorite songs is truly exceptional. Now I am aware that I must evaluate my budget to continue learning about this new world."

Everything it's claimed to be

"Stock and service was great, fast… I found the Mojo2 all that it’s claimed to be all over the net. I like the build quality, solid, a bit smaller than I expected. Its sound is something special. Yes, neutral, exceptionally detailed, unbelievably quiet, all while still being full, powerful, and musical. It’s the best I’ve ever heard. I believe there are multiple paths to getting to amazing sound reproduction, and subscribe to Mr. Watt’s logic and theories or not, he’s worked some serious magic with these DACs. I don’t have the greatest comparisons to quote. I’m coming from DragonFly Red and higher end Marantz. Of course it sounds better, a lot better, but one thing that struck me is how much more distinctly it could improve sound stage, smoothness, and texture moving up to higher resolution files vs the lesser hardware. Much more distinct difference. I would catch things listening and then check the colored button to see that a hi-res file had circled into the playlist. I’ll admit that I’m partial to well-crafted round volume dials, but if it has to be a set of buttons, the Mojo2’s work well. Whisper quiet adjustments, good tactile feel, and the step-size is balanced so you don’t feel like you have to click away, nor are you wishing you had finer grain adjustment. And finally, the 4-way EQ is far more effective than I ever expected it to be. It lets me goose the bass, or tone down hot treble, or tweak the vocal timbre just right, without having to fret and mess with too many detailed adjustment options. And this is mostly to tweak specific headphones, or track-specific sound engineering choices I don’t agree with, not that the sound signature of the Mojo2 itself needs to be tuned. All-in-all, it’s a TOTL/End Game level of sound for me, all in a dense little unit that fits nicely into your hand."

Chord Magic

"Truly astonishing clarity! Every note is precisely defined. Lights’ spectrum is your guide from red (low, infra-red) to high (purple, ultraviolet)."

Worthy of your desktop or your pocket

"Detailed, spacious, natural sound with phenomenal transients in a tiny, portable package. It sounds like an $800 DAC, maybe comparable to a pricier one, and I can take it with me anywhere! It's worthy of my desktop or my pocket."

Fantastic!

"Amazing portable device - a LOT better than a few $x00 dongles I’ve tried. Wonderful blend of technicality and musicality. Easily drives my IEMs with no background noise. Having the EQ function is a great bonus. Only con would be some notes feel thin or light - I’d wager than would be easily remedied by the right external amp (if you plan to use the Mojo as a DAC)."

Mojo 2 is the real thing

"An advancement from the original Mojo. Worth the purchase. HEADAMP, has been great. Will buy again."

Amazing with the Right Source

"I've only had Mojo 2 for a few days but wow, it can be amazing. For reference I'm comparing to a Bifrost 2/64 DAC and Jotunheim 2 headphone amp driving brand new Meze Empyrium 2 headphones. I've tried Mojo 2 connected to my iPhone with the Apple connector. It sounds very good with the iPhone as a Roon endpoint. It sounds amazing with the iPhone running Roon ARC. I tried USB from my Allo Sig Bridge and not so great... However, when I connected to the optical output of Wiim Pro it was amazing again. Mojo 2 with the right input source competes easily with Bifrost 2/64. They are both excellent, but different. Mojo 2 has a much tighter, cleaner bass, smoother treble and a better soundstage. Bifrost is punchier. For classical recordings I much prefer Mojo 2. I am so pleased with Mojo 2 I'm going to add Poly and use it both as a portable Roon endpoint and as an alternate desktop setup."
