Great range, lots of controlled, strong bass

"I purchased these aware they are known for being "bass head" IEMs. They are now one of my favorite headphones, IEM or otherwise. Yes, theres lots more bass, but it's controlled and strong rather than flabby or boomy. Good mids and highs, better than expected for me. They really excel at both modern produced recordings as well as class rock and metal. I thought they might be a novelty, but I find myself wearing them for pretty much anything that has a kick drum in it. Pretty nice cable, comfortable, really nice IEMs all around."

Addictive low ends with good resolution

"This is my first pair of Empire Ears IEMs. I have never experienced any of their products but always heard positive things about them. I know that they are known for the low ends. So I thought I would give these a try since I was looking for a pair of fun IEMs with boosted bass. The Triton do not disappoint at all. They are V-shaped but done very tastfully. The low end does not bleed into the lower mids. Many bass heavy IEMs have the issue of such that leads to bloated and muddy low ends. The Triton have great extension into the sub-bass region and deliver addictive kick & slam at the same time. The mids are relatively neutral. Not too forward, not recessed. There is very good resulotion in the highs with a sense of air and space. It is not overly forward and fatiguing. If you are looking for smooth highs, these are not it. Overall, I think the Triton strikes a wonderful V-shape presentation that is fun, addictive and not fatiguing. Staging wise, they are pretty normal on the side of intimate. I notice a fairly good depth at the same time. The staging presentation is enjoyable and engaging. Imagine is very good and coherent. My only other bass heavy tuning IEMs are the Elysian Noir. It is not a fair comparison since they are on different price and performance level. Both IEMs offer low reaching and rumbling sub-bass. Besides that, the Triton is clearly superior in all other aspects. Every time I put the Triton on, I do not want to put them down, esp. when I listen to some funk/jazz music. They are truly addictive for me! In overall performance, the Triton are definitely in the >$1k category. If I were to pay $1700 for the IEMs alone, they would be on the pricy side. But when you factor in the accessories such as the very beautiful cable and two cases that come with, it gets a little easier to justify. In the end, I am very happy with the Triton Launch Edition. If you are interested, hope you would get to try these and be the judge yourself! They are truly fun and addicting!"
