From Echo to Euforia

"Great experience with my latest purchase from HeadAmp. First, I bought the Feliks Echo MkII, and then I traded it in for the magnificent Euforia EVO. Jeremy Wilson is fantastic. Sometimes you need to be patient because he’s super busy, but you’ll be rewarded with excellent customer service, honesty, and expertise. Highly recommended!"

Even Better Than I Expected!

"I have 300 ohm ZMF headphones and I'm always hearing that OTL amplifiers bring out their full potential so I figure I'd give it a go. I've been using the ZMF Homage recently which I think sounds good with them and I prefer it more than other SS amps I have tried, especially with the high impedance toggled. So the Evo just came in today and I honestly wasn't expecting much of a difference, seeing as they mention it's hours of burn in time for optimal sound. Boy was I wrong, I let the tubes heat up for a little under half an hour and with pretty much no burn in my headphones sounded better than ever! I will say the bass doesn't hit as hard but the spaciousness and rest of the frequency range are just incredible. I would highly recommend this amp as it looks great and sounds great, I only expect it to get better with more use."

All my headphones now sound great

"I could not believe the difference this amp made. Focal Utopia sounds fantastic. I was going to sell Sennheiser hd800s but only now do I see what theyares capable of so will probably keep them.. Yes, you can even plug the Utopias into a DAP but it is a waste of money you need a good headphone amp to realize even close to their full potential."

Euforia Reborn

"Feliks audio did it again !! Coming from an Elise Mk2, the EVO is an instant upgrade in terms of sound quality and overall presentation. The sound is cleaner and more controlled than the Elise, however, the Elise definitely sounds warmer and more syrupy. The EVO is precise, controlled with extremely accurate imaging. The best aspect of the EVO, well i guess any Feliks Euforia amp is their ability to plan planar headphones. My Zmf Caldera sounds ethereal with the EVO then though most of the caldera community prefer SS amp over tube amp. At this price point, its really hard to beat this amp based on versatility alone. 3 years warranty + world class headamp customer service makes the EVO a no brainer, especially for ZMF headphones"

Feliks Audio Euforia Evo Headphone Amp Is Amazing!

"I purchased the Evo from Headamp.com about a month ago. I was looking to purchase my first tube amp. I've only had the Rubert Neve headphone amp and the Burson Audio Soloist 3XP solid state amp before this amp. So my comparison has been a/b comparing the Burson Soloist 3XP with this the Evo. Long story short, I'll be keeping the Evo. I use it with my ZMF Verite Open headphones primarily, and they truly shine with the Evo. Compared to the Burson, the Evo adds more bass thump, heft, and the reverb trails seem to be more lush and vibrant, if that makes sense. I've never had another tube amp, so I don't know how to compare it to other tube amps, but compared to the Burson the Evo doesn't seem overtly saturated, warm, or fuzzy as I've heard some people describe tube amps. To me, in my system, the Evo just adds more of everything compared to my solid state amp, without washing away any details. It's just sounds so good. My Burson has three stages of impedance, and I got tired of changing it from high to medium and back depending on what song was playing. With the Evo I just turn up and down the volume, so it's much easier than toggling buttons and changing lots of settings. Just turn the volume up or down. I asked Feliks Audio which output sounds best, since its a single ended amp, and they informed me the SE and Balanced output will sound the same, but the balanced headphone cable has some advantages over the SE headphone cable since it's balanced, so I only use the balanced out. After 100 hours of burning it in I'm completely satisfied with my first tube amp. I tried to daisy chain the Burson with the Evo, and I didn't particularly like that combo. I was afraid to turn the Burson up too much as to not send too much voltage to my headphones. That meant I had to turn up the Evo so much that it began to distort. So for me I'll just stick with the Evo and not daisy chain the solid state after the tube. My only request for the next model are balanced inputs. I currently connect my Gustard R26, a balanced dac, to the Evo with some silver solid cord conductor rca cables. Other than that everything on the Evo is amazing! I had narrowed down my tube headphone amp search to the Auris HA-2SF, one of the Cayin tube amps, and the Manley Labs Absolute headphone amp. In the end I decided to go with the Feliks Audio because of the quality of the internal occ conductors, the Mundorf capacitors, and point to point wiring. I'm a happy camper."
