Small size- great sound
"Hey, The Gilmore Lite amp exactly fit the area where I needed it to go so the form factor was great. Sound with the headphones I have used so far has been really good- I’ve mostly have been running low to medium impedance headphones. I got the reference power supply module. I do wish the LED lights were not quite as bright. Overall the sound and size factor have made this amp a very good purchase. Plus the amp was sent out quickly with good packaging. It is good doing business with HeadAmp. Anyone looking for anything associated with headphones should check out this company for the variety and quality of the products they offer."

Unbelievable HeadAmp Golden Reference Power Supply Unit. Must Buy!
"The stock power supply unit is plenty good; but the Golden Reference Power Supply is even more Incredible. Absolute Black noise floor enables more relaxing and easy flow of music. In addition, the extra reserve of power will further increase headroom when playing hard. More slam, faster transient attack without any hint of harshness. Widen the soundstage. Better separation of instrument and voice. The Golden Reference Power Supply is a Must Have addition to HeadAmp Gilmore Lite Mk2 Class-A Headphone Amplifier!"

Good upgrade from low end amp
"Noticeable improvement from fiio e17. Better power delivery and sound quality felt more neutral. Solid build quality, but has a rough finish. Feels good in hand, but I wouldn't want to rub my cheek on it. Looks good though, and the IO is in convenient locations. Tested with ad2000 and hd6xx. The amp can really show how different the two headphones are. HD6xx can show its bass, midrange, and balance. The ad2000 show off its soundstage and clarity, but also how fatiguing and "in your face" it can be. Doesn't come with RCA cables Low impedance headphones can hiss at high volumes (50% or higher)"

An accurate reproduction of music
"I found this amp to be a very accurate reproduction of what's fed into it. It is so resolute things like interconnect cables will make a difference. I nearly returned it until I realized the Kimber Hero cables were just too bright. I finally settled on Kimber KS1016's though pricey. The sound is smooth and very revealing and engaging. I am using the standard power supply and Sennheiser HD650 headphones"

What a gem at this price point. Bulletproof reliable too!
"Wonderful sounding amp with one downside that I'll get into in a moment. This amp sounds great with all of my headphones and has a nice smooth yet detailed characteristic to it. Bass is plentiful and engaging, midrange is fantastic and treble has solid sparkle. Excellent pairing with my HD6 series and really elevated them beyond what I was hearing with THX amps. Now for the downside... I had such a great experience with this amp that I upgraded to a GS-X Mini. A lovely upgrade from an already amazing amp but I was met with eye rolling from the wife, no regrets though."

Extremely clean, great bang for the buck!
"Extremely clean, neutral amp. Does not really have a sound signature, as it is so neutral - it stays out of the way and lets the other equipment shine, while also not holding anything else back. Great fit for both my LCD-2 and Focal Elex!"

Clear and Precise
"I just recently made the best decision in purchasing a Gilmore Lite MK2. Service was top notch and the amp was delivered in 2 days in perfect condition. The Gilmore is a very smooth, transparent and musical amp. It will act as a window into your source and headphones. The 1.5 watts is more than enough to power all but the hardest to drive headphones. Bass notes are clean with great attack and decay. The midrange is perfectly in line with the bass with absolutely no recession. The treble is extended with the right amount of air. I do not hear any roll off whatsoever. The amp has no bloom whatsoever, which for this audiophile is exactly what I was looking for. Just a clear window into my music, where the amp is providing only what yoir source and headphones sound like. I am pairing my Gilmore with The Vinshine Reference R2R DAC and the combination is pure magic. Thank you Headamp for a great amp."
