Discrete, the Circuit Design of the AMP12

The AMP12 is a 4.4mm balanced AMP and designed for DX300. It is fully discrete on both the voltage amplification stage and the current amplification stage.

The amplifier input section utilizes special circuitry that converts the signal into a positive and negative symmetrical analogue waveform. Voltage in this circuit is amplified utilizing a symmetrical transistor common-base amplifier circuit. Characteristics of this circuit is an ultra high cut-off frequency response, which manifests as improved high frequencies, better and fuller details, and an airy presentation.

The amplifier output section uses a current mirror collector and a crossed auto-zero emitter that parallels the current to the load. The positive outcome of utilizing the current mirror collector is that, no matter what the size of the output signal is, it will not go into the cut-off state. This is equivalent to a Super Class A amplifier, which has the characteristics of Class A amplifier, at the same time, the quiescent current is very low. The utilization of the auto-zero emitter helps to produce deep authoritative bass among other positive attributes.

The voltage feedback of the AMP12 adopts a double-negative feedback loop, a loop gain DC feedback and partial AC feedback. This increases the electrical stability of the circuit and reduces the inherent transient response distortion of a large loop negative feedback circuit. The end product of this is a blacker background, it less noise and an overall naturalness and smoothness to the sound with more space between instruments and voices.

Dedicated Batter Power Supply & Larger Size Circuit Board

The size of the DX300 AMP card is larger than that of the DX200 series. The sufficient size allows more rogust complex circuits and better components and the layout of the board can be optimized. With the dedicated bater power supply, which ensures the purest and stablest power, all of the qualities of the AMP12 can be realized.

Dual 4.4mm Pentagon Sockets & A Dedicated 4.4mm Balanced Line Out

The AMP12 has dual 4.4mm balanced outputs. One is the 4.4mm balanced Line Out, which bypasses the AMP section, allowing you to connect to an external amplifier with a balanced Line In.
