Our Take

With the NT-1, Matrix Audio introduces a new family design language, equipped with the same Hi-Fi streaming hardware as the M Series. With a powerful processor upgrade and a next-level display enhancement, the NT-1 delivers a brand-new experience that captivates both your ears and eyes.

Ensure Pure Audio Transmission

NT-1 features an audio-specific USB DAC interface with electrical isolation. It not only effectively reduces transmission noise but also isolates the USB port ground wire from the device ground wire, fundamentally reducing noise and interference during audio transmission and ensuring the purity of the audio signal.

The power supply system is built with a 60W toroidal transformer and multiple LDOs. The power for the digital audio processing core and the USB DAC interface is supplied by two independent windings of the transformer, ensuring stable operation of each part and effectively reducing noise interference. This linear power supply is unique, with independent windings and a precise, low-noise regulator circuit, providing the USB DAC interface with a dedicated power supply isolated from the digital part, further ensuring audio transmission stability and low noise, and bringing you the ultimate Hi-Fi experience.

This clock system is based on the flagship Matrix Audio model, which offers dual modes. In internal clock mode, the femtosecond clock serves as a reference for the RF synthesizer, providing a highly stable, low-phase-noise audio clock. In external clock mode, the incoming clock signals become the reference for the RF synthesizer, outputting an audio clock that is highly stable, low-phase-noise, and phase-synchronized with the input clock.

Unlimited Resources at Your Fingertips

Access an extensive library of high-resolution music, including TIDAL, Qobuz, HIGHRESAUDIO, and internet radio - all seamlessly integrated into one device. Supports various high-resolution audio streaming protocols over local networks, including Roon Ready, Audirvana, TIDAL Connect, Spotify Connect, AirPlay 2, QPlay, and UPnP/DLNA. Equipped with 2 USB 3.0 ports, you can connect a USB drive and a CD drive simultaneously.

Additionally, the device can function as a NAS, enabling other streamers on the same network to seamlessly play the stored music. The bottom of the device features an NVMe SSD slot, allowing for the installation of an SSD to expand internal storage. A specially designed ultra-low-noise independent power supply ensures a quiet operating environment for the SSD, which surpasses what an ordinary computer can offer.

With the ever-evolving MA Player Hi-Fi Streamer OS and MA Remote App, easily copy music files from external USB storage to the internal storage, seamlessly adapt to both iOS and Android devices. Whether on a smartphone or a tablet, enjoy a smooth and intuitive interactive experience.

Multiple Interfaces

Optical, coaxial, AES/EBU, and IIS-LVDS output ports are available, allowing easy connection to various digital audio devices, such as DACs and amplifiers, to meet your diverse audio connection needs. With different SFP modules, you can freely expand optical fiber or Ethernet ports as needed. If you connect it to an active speaker with digital input, you can also enable the digital volume function without adding an additional speaker controller, and the volume can be adjusted easily. Whether playing local music or online streaming audio, the device can be automatically woken up, and the back-end DAC or amplifier can be started via the trigger connection, automatically and conveniently, without manual operation.
