One of a kind headphones

Just like fingerprints, wood grain is as unique, thus making each pair of Meze Headphone a one of a kind. You will love how they feel in your hands. Sturdy built and precise assembly. The ear cups are made with a satin finished wood grain. Put them on, sit back, and enjoy your favorite sound of plucked strings, upbeat grooves or thumping beats while still looking classy.

Premium sound designed for those who know

We’re taking headphone design to a new level by combining modern with hand crafted design, using natural materials and focusing on delivering the best premium sound.

Our aim is to change the perception of headphones as technical devices or as cheap plastic accessories and create a mature product to fall in love with.

Wood technology

The choice of wood is an inherently difficult one. The rich colors of walnut require the use of air drying, a long and expensive procedure. The process of shaping just a single pair of earcups takes up to 8 hours. The whole process of sanding, lacquering, and finishing lasts 45 days. The wooden components are carefully inspected and no flaws are permitted to reach the final assembly.

It is worth mentioning that all the wood that we use in our headphones is strictly harvested from sources with certificate of origin. That is, mature trees that have reached the end of their life cycle. This way, we are helping the environment and we’re giving the old trees a chance to shine one more time in the shape of Meze headphones.

Life changing. Decision Certainty

"I have been in production since I was a child. I'm now 57 years old and thought I have tried everything. The best bang for your buck honest flat pair you'll ever own. Can't recommend them enough. I am so grateful these exist."

Great sound, pads wear down

"Love the sound quality on these headphones, but after using em for 2 years my pads are leaving little black pieces of their foam all over everything."

Wyatt (3/5)

"They sound very thin, no midbass energy or warmth. I don't particularly care for them. Materials and quality of construction are excellent for the price, just not the sonic signature I was looking for."

Erik (3/5)

Sounds great, wears comfortably

"For its price, they outperform many other headphones, but they are not for everybody, they are for someone who does not ask for wide soundstage like the hd600 series, they are closed headphones, and the bass is pretty good, better than then byerdynamic 770 (80omh), they also features the special tonal effects of the wooden earcups, which is the main attraction to me, reminds me the old denon 5000/7000 headphones"

Hedson J. (5/5)

Wookiefoot Approved

"It’s like hanging your favorite floor standing speakers over your ears. Full bodied, detailed and never fatiguing. Highly recommend the silver upgrade cable."

a nice headphone for every day use with minimal fuss.

"I am not a audiophile or even someone who owns a lot of nice audio equipment. I wanted headphones that were comfortable both on the ears and the top of the head for long periods of time, that would be wired but not require special equipment like a DAC or AMP to make it sound good or even work at all, and be closed back so I am not disturbing my partner since I have my computer setup in the living room. These headphones mostly deliver on all of those fronts. It is extremely comfortable on the top of the head and the head pressure is just right. Because I have large ears that stick out, the top tips of my ears touch the drivers so there is discomfort for long sessions. I am trying to alleviate this 3rd party earpads that are thicker so I wont have that issue. The headphones themselves are plug and play on my computer setup and require no DAC or AMP. I am interested in trying one in the future, but for now they are great sound for what I am looking for. Lastly, they are closed back and therefore do not let a ton of audio leak out and disturb my partner when she is in the same room. They have the added bonus for me of not being so tight such that I can still hear myself so I am not too loud speaking during gaming :P Assuming I find good earpads for my big ears, these are a good purchase! A little expensive, but a nice headphone for every day use with minimal fuss."

Is grass greener on the other side?

"I was looking for a pair of closed backs to replace my Sennheiser's HD 599. The classics are not bad... not too bad at all. Now I will say after prolong use they feel uncomfortable in the upper jaw region. However, the sound and the build quality are phenomenal! I would definitely recommend these for short use but long listening sessions may vary."

Meze 99 Classics! Outstanding!

"Just received my headphones today. I heard them the first time this past weekend at a buddy’s house. Sounded phenomenal and had to get a pair for myself. You won’t be disappointed!"

Dave (5/5)

Beautiful Headphones

"My boyfriend loved these headphones when he opened them up. They’re great quality, they work well, and they’re beautiful!!"

Jennifer S. (5/5)

Very nice headphones!

"My first pair of HIFI headphones, I've used Razor products, soundcore and some other brands but none have sounded as tight or enjoyable as these. They are beyond comfy even for my wider larger head size and they sound perfect! And even though I do not think they were made for gaming they do sound very good with games especially with beat saber!"

Q&A

Have read that these have smallish earcups. I guess I have big ears… so I need the inside earcup measurements. Please, thanks
The earcups are oval shaped and measure about 2.5" x 1.875" (64x48mm) inside opening.
