"Love it. Great DaC"

Mytek Liberty DAC II

"Nice DAC with a crystal clean sound. Lacked a little in the bass with my Abyss Diana V2s. 256 step indented volume control can be annoying . Would prefer the rotation to be smooth."

Howard F. (4/5)

Excellent DAC, especially for the price

"Very smooth sounding with good extension and wide and deep soundstage, no hardness with any of the files I've heard so far."

Mitchell S. (5/5)

Loving it!

"Really enjoying listening to my system since adding the Liberty! Great sound, enough inputs to keep me happy! Love the looks of it too!"

Jason M. (5/5)

Good System Addition

"The liberty DAC was a very good recommendation by Justin. I am pleased with its’ performance. The remote is a nice touch. I find its performance very musical, powerful and transparent."

Denise F. (5/5)

Impressive

"I bought an open boxed unit to save money. It came just as if it was new with all original packaging. This unit made all my CD’s come sound analog. The sound is laid back and not in your face with piercing highs that cause ear fatigue. I listen to my TT a lot and hardly listen to CD’s. But there are days when I am too lazy to flip the LP. So I listen to the CD version of the audiophile recording. I have a CD transport going to the Liberty via Coax digital cable."

Great build and sound. Quality over price.

"Compared to RME's adi-2. Listen and compare for about 3 hours. Popping sound, tight bass. It's a little more colored than adi, but it's exquisite and fun to listen to. No more noise than adi. adi has no noise at all, but no more I am amazed at this quality at this size and price. I bought it from Japan, but I was very happy that it arrived much earlier than expected."

Liberty Mytek DAC II - Robust build quality and multi-functional!

"I have recently taken possession of the Mytek Liberty DAC II, after an extensive pre-order wait. So far, I am quite pleased! Two things of note with this device; it has a very professional, robust build quality, and it is highly multi-functional. On the first point, the chassis is weighty and solid, the machining is precise, and the aesthetic quality of the device screams "no-nonsense" and professional. The LED lights are a nice touch. On the second point, this device is way more than your standard desktop DAC; it has a remote, it has balanced and single-ended outputs, it has multiple inputs (including AES), it has a respectable single-ended headphone output, an input select and power-on button, indicating LEDs, and most impressively, a 100+ step volume control! This is one of the finest volume controls I've seen on the market without a doubt. Sound quality is as expected; crisp, clean, transparent. No real color or additives, no noticeable distortion or noise. Two cons; it doesn't come with a manual and there's no easy way to set the device to fixed output mode without turning the volume knob up every time you boot on the device. Overall, very solid product for this price point and will be an incredible competitor to the RME ADI-2 and similar."

Impressive Gear & Sounds like Analog

"MYTEK Liberty Dac II - Mini Review - 1-15-2022 Purchased from : Headamp.com. Reviewed using : Tidal & Spotify. Music by these Artists : Queen Echosmith Keith Urban Lebron Yanni Ghostly Kisses Five Finger Death Punch Opeth Chet Baker Sarah Chang Yuja Wang Adele Sade Roger Waters Dua Lipa David Guetta Sting --------- Box : Its Black, its well packed. Accessories : Nice Remote. USB Cable. Power Chord Initial impression of Mytek Liberty Dac II : Build Quality :> Solid. Has Heft. Nice all metal construction. Design : Utilitarian . Modest. Classic. No Frills. User Friendly. Plug and Play. Review : I love to review an affordable, true audiophile gear. And the Mytek Liberty Dac II is exactly this situation. ITs a high quality, impressive, easy to use gear, that sounds exceptional. I unboxed it, plugged it in, connected it to my Macbook Pro, opened Tidal and Spotify and the ear joy began at once. The Audiophile sonics produced by this beautiful little black all metal gear, are very impressive. I talked to the designer at Mytek for about an hour. He loves to discuss design philosophy and gear concepts. He has all the Headphones we love......Susvara, all the Audeze, all of it, and he listens and listens and listens, dialing in the sound, tweeking it to perfection. We talked about a certain wonderful aspect regarding the sound of this MTK LBTY 2, and its regarding how he took a long time to dial in the Liberty 2's : 2nd Order of Harmonics. The end result is sonic awesome. To define it simply and clearly.....the MTK LBTY 2 sounds : analog and somewhat like a tube amp. Not a trace of coldness or thin sound to be found. The MYTEK Liberty 2 produces a sound signature that is both lush warmth & clean detailed. Its a sweetly clean analog sounding sonics being offered to your favorite headphones. There is plenty of power on Tap. Digital artifice, digital sterility, digital clinical tone, is nowhere to be found in this Gear's fantastic overall sound signature. Beautiful tonality. Now what about that Volume knob. ? Well, the answer is...."yeah BABY". It is incredible. It completely eliminates L<>R "balance issues", and it resolves utterly that frustration we all have felt when you can't find the right volume, because the knob is one step too soft and the next step is too loud. The Mytek Liberty Dac 2's Volume Knob is design stepped in such a perfect way, that you get 4-5 slight Volume Gain increases in between each DB that is raised. THAT my friends, is THE GOLD. So, to wrap this short review up. " true audiophile analog sound" "plenty of power on tap" "Volume Knob is the Gold Standard" "gear feels solid and substantial" "user friendly, plug and play with ease" This audiophile gear is a Gem. Congrats Mytek."
