I didn’t think it would sound very good
"It surprised me, I didn’t think it would sound as good as it does. It’s also pretty comfortable in my ears. So I’m very happy I purchased them. They also work very well with my SRM-D10 mk2"
The SR-003MK2 is a 5-pin PRO bias type in-the-ear earspeaker, and can be used by connecting to a driver unit having 5-pin PRO bias output socket. The redesigned ear canal type structure of the SR-003 enables you to enjoy excellent electrostatic sound quality without covering your ears. The SR-003MK2 connects to STAX driver units or adapters equipped with 5-pin type PRO bias output.
SR-003mk2 has a re-designed ear piece with 3 silicone ear bud sizes. It is also 15% lighter than the S-001/MK2 which results in further resolution, transparency and purer listening pleasure.

"Great sound. Paired with my SRM-D10 m2 (from Headamp of course) and I have and outstanding portable hifi setup. They’re a little uncomfortable, but that’s my opinion. Highly recommended."
"Had my doubts before buying them. Use my SRM 500T / D10 II with a SR-007A set and differences, at home, are just a few. Now, on the way I'll keep enjoying my Stax gear."
"Purchased new from eBay. Paired with SRM 252S and Topping EHA5. Comfort: The OEM headband and tips are comfortable, and keep the tips in the ear canal once the metal headband is adjusted (see comments about CES-A1 below). An hour or two of listening was OK. Sound: Compared with SR-307, the earspeakers have, smaller sound field and leaner sound all around. Token bass, treble could be shrill on poorly recorded music. Midrange is reasonable. Nice decay for many instrumments and details are preserved. EHS5 is superior to SRM 252s in all areas. After market CES-A1 ("closed cover and ear tips. Around $50~70 on eBay). The tips keep getting detached from the ear pieces leaving the tips in the ear canals. The "horns" do not help. Abandoned after struggling almost an hour. Closed covers eliminate the open field and the nice devay (strengths to me)mentioned above in exchange for slightly eobust bass. Main issue is the headband cannot be used with the covers attached. Had to hold the earphones with both hands to keep them in the ear canals. Overall, frustrating and useless. Do not recommend. Conclusion. Electrostatic gears become portable if one doesn't mind carrying SRM 252S around. Recommended."
