The Meze Elite Tungsten Edition doesn’t just meet that expectation, it creates an experience that I can only describe as addictive. This isn't just a tool for listening, it’s a work of art that demands to be heard. The first thing that strikes you is the Tungsten finish. The coating gives it a sophisticated, matte look that feels incredibly high-quality. While Meze provides multiple pad options, I settled on the angled Alcantara pads. They are extremely comfortable, allowing the headphones to disappear on your head during long sessions. If you’re looking for a TOTL headphone that you can listen to for eight hours without a hint of fatigue, this is it. As far as sound quality, the Elite is often categorized as a "smooth" headphone, but that doesn't tell the whole story. In my time with them, I’ve found them to be remarkably detailed. You won't miss any of the nuances in the recording, yet they manage to stay "fun". The Elites are easy to drive, and sound beautiful with high-end gear.
