Very good, not my favorite match for CRBN-2

"I’ve been trying various amplifiers for my Audeze CRBN II headphone ever since I got them (I had the CRBN upgraded. ) This is a relatively small amp, you can use it on a desktop, very quiet and clean. It does not get much bass out of this headphone, though. The balance is bright to me as a result. It ultra clear, detailed, and enjoyable and with a small bass boost through gentle EQ brings out more of what the CRBN II is capable of delivering. I have never heard the amp with Staxx own headphones."

"The SRM-700S is the best reasonably sized energizer STAX has ever made, in my opinion. With the true balanced XLR inputs, there is a massive amount of power on tap for every headphone in my estat collection, much more than even the SRM-400S. The device feels premium, well-made, and quite solid. The knob feels great. It only gets hot in the front top half of the chassis where the vent is, otherwise it's quite cool and efficient. Solid-state circuitry means clarity and noise floor is unsurpassed by tube/valve amp offerings. It fits on my desk, which is fantastic. Detail retrieval and dynamics on my SR-009S earspeakers are superb with this energizer. Overall, well worth what I paid for it, as it powers my other estats with ease as well. A fine addition to any electrostatic headphone collector's setup!"

Excellent sounding Stax headphone amp

"Very clear with just the right amount of slightly warm and dynamic sound. Found not be more pleased when used with my L700 Stax ear speakers."

Good to do business with

"When purchasing quality gear, it's always reassuring to know that you're dealing with people that really know the electronics they sell inside and out. That's been my experience with Headamp, and I'd be happy to recommend them."

Absolutely Satisfied

"I bought this amp with the Stax SR-007A headphones. Justin advised me that the 007A’s are excellent headphones, but need sufficient power to sound their best. Well, I followed his advice, and I am glad that I did. This beast of an amplifier (“beast” in the very best sense of the word) has plenty of power, it delivers it without a hint of distortion, and powers my headphones in a manner that allows every single instrument to be distinguished from those around it, and allows one to recognize individual singers from each other even when multiple singers are singing background parts. The combined effect from these headphones and this amp is nothing short of amazing. As in my review of the Stax SR-007A headphones, I would also like to mention the excellent service and honest advice advice I received from Headamp. I called with the intention of stating my decision as to what to order, and asking if the items were in stock. Justin noted that while my chosen amp would “drive” the chosen headphones, a different amp would do a better job, and explained why. I am very glad that I followed his advice. He kept me from making a significant “electrostatic rookie” mistake. What’s more, every time that I called Headamp, the telephone was answered on the first ring, and each time I have written, I get a response in 12 hours or sooner (and can communicate instantly via chat also). In this world of wading through five-minute menus only to be put on hold for an hour, this is quite refreshing. To me, this shows that the folks at Headamp are very serious about customer service. Thank you Headamp for a thoroughly enjoyable decision and purchase experience, and thank you Stax for making such excellent products."
