One of the biggest announcements ahead of HIGH END Munich came from Abyss Headphones, who will be debuting a new model - Diana MR. This new planar-magnetic headphone from the Buffalo, NY based company will bridge the gap between the Diana V2, which is being retired, and the premium Diana TC. The Diana MR will have a lower impedance, allowing listeners to drive the headphone more easily with portable audio players and will have a lower price point estimated at around $3000.
HIFIMAN will also have 2 exciting new models to test at HIGH END Munich. Listeners will be able to hear the HIFIMAN Arya Organic - an update to the popular Arya family with wood earcups for a fuller sound, lower impedance for portables and a price point about $300 lower than the original Arya and Arya Stealth edition. HIFIMAN has also updated the Ananda family with the Ananda Nano. Nanometer Thickness Diaphragm technology developed for the legendary Susvara makes its debut on a headphone priced for all audiophiles at $599.
