A new chapter for a beloved reference. Featuring all-new Solid-Body acoustic design. Superbly refined musical presentation.
Andromeda 2020 is an exciting new chapter for one of our most beloved earphones. Updating an earphone as a beloved as Andromeda is not a task we take lightly. But give it a listen, and you’ll be glad we did.
Our new Solid-Body design, first explored in our custom fit products, is now enhancing our new Universal Fit line. This approach brings a new level of control to our acoustic design. You’ll enjoy a refined musical presentation, with clarity and resolution that can’t be missed.
Solid-Body interior delivers appreciable Sonic Improvements
While looking very much like previous versions of Andromeda, maintaining its classic angular silhouette and emerald-green finish, Andromeda 2020 is very different on the inside.
A single printed body now houses all of Andromeda 2020’s internal components. The interior and exterior spaces and the relationships between them are precisely sculpted to improved sonic performance. And the bonus of having the engineering doing the heavy lifting is fewer moving parts, and fewer moving parts mean reliable reference performance for the life of the earphone.
Classic Look + New Spout
A new spout design keeps its distinctive short collar, but adds our signature grill pattern to keep your earphone debris free.
Zirconium blasted aluminum shells are finished in our classic emerald green anodizing; specially made for Andromeda.
Environmentally Friendly Sustainable Material
Our exciting new premium cork protective zipper case is an environmentally friendly update. Sustainably harvested Cork surrounds a substantial and protective rubber barrier that ensures that your earphones will remain safe while in transit. The interior is a thick faux wool lining that preserves the anodized finish of your earphones. Each case is made in Portugal by a small team of skilled craftspeople that share our commitment to quality.
The Cork used for the cases is the outer bark of the Cork Oak Tree (Cork Suberus L), and its extraction is harmless to the tree. The harvest occurs every nine years during the expectable lifetime of the tree (around 150 years). Harvesting the Cork of the tree is fundamental for the sustainability of the cork oak forests. A naturally durable material that feels good to hold in your hand.
Careful selection of each element of our earphones is just the start of the meticulous assembly of your earphone. Our close attention at every stage from design to production ensures your earphones will be a worthwhile and lasting product.
Our custom Beryllium Copper MMCX eliminates the traditional shortcomings of the connection and harnesses all of its benefits. Beryllium Copper provides a robust mating mechanism; one that is typcially made from soft brass. This selection of a harder material extends the life of component and the earphone.
Close attention to detail is critical to delivering you the superior musical experience from our earphones. We test and pair each individual earphone, Left and Right, to establish its conformity to our firmly established tuning and performance criteria. The result is a pair of earphones made for each other that you can feel good about.
